Game fails to start and you see a black screen

You may need to upgrade your Flash Player.  Visit http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html to download the newest version of Flash.  If this does not solve your problem, please contact us.

You did not receive an email with your login information after purchase

Please send us an email with your name, email address, and purchase date.

To change your password

Log-in and go to the My Account page.  If you have forgotten your password, you will be asked for your email when you log-in and your password will be sent to you.

Problems with installation

If you are encountering any problems with installation, make certain no programs are running in the background and turn off all security software.

Game shortcut fails to appear on desktop

If the game shortcut fails to appear on the desktop, check to see if the game has installed properly: go to the start menu, select "all programs" and look for the file "Roman Town v1.2." If the file is there, then the game is installed. You may either play it directly from the folder or move it to the desktop.

If you cannot find the game folder, then the installation was not successful. You will need to run the installer again. When you run the installer you will see a dark red screen with a small window giving you instructions to install the game.

Known bugs

Mini-Games Menu: Calculi?
If a player attempts to leave Calculi during a game, he will get a black screen and will be unable to continue the game. The only resolution is to force quit and restart.

Error Messages

“Hardware failed to switch to the specified mode”?
This error message is most commonly caused by a conflict between the screen resolution required by the game and the resolution your desktop is set to. Usually, games automatically switch to the required resolution, but there have been issues reported with Vista where the change has to be made manually. To do this, follow these steps:

• Go Into Control Panel
• Under "Appearance and personalization" select "adjust screen resolution"?Change the resolution to 1024x768 or higher
• If your resolution is already set to 1024x768 or higher, make the manual switch anyway. You may need to restart your computer for the game to recognize the change.
