I love how they weaved history right into the game, so your kids don’t even realize that they are learning.

Game Tips: Play again and find something different

Every time you play a level, the flags are put in different places. Even better, the tool you use determines what artifact you find at each flag. So, play over and over—try different tools and find different artifacts!

Tools and artifacts

Archaeologists use special tools and each tool has a different purpose. The tool you select to dig with will determine what you find and how quickly your digger finishes working:
Trowel: finds small artifacts, work is completed slowly
Handpick: finds small and medium sized artifacts, work is completed at a moderate pace
Hoe: finds medium and large artifacts, work is completed fairly quickly
Pick: finds large artifacts, work is completed quickly

Reconstruction tips

Reconstruction is just like doing a jigsaw puzzle. When you do a jigsaw puzzle you start with the edge pieces first, right? Well that works when you’re reconstructing a mosaic or fresco too. When you’re reconstructing a vessel, try putting the rim, base and handles in first.

Bonus games

Can’t get enough of reconstructing? Check out the bonus levels of 2D Reconstruction and 3D Reconstruction in the mini-games menu.
