What is Roman Town? Roman Town is an archaeological simulation game that combines the thrill of “treasure hunting” with real information about ancient Roman life. Do I have to be an Archaeologist to play? Absolutely not! You will learn about archaeology while you play, no previous knowledge is needed.
What kinds of things will I do in Roman Town? Roman Town includes all sorts of fun activities: dig up buried artifacts, solve puzzles, put together broken artifacts, tour ancient buildings and much more.
Who is Roman Town for? Anyone! Roman Town is fun for the whole family and appeals to players from 8 to 88. There is no violence or inappropriate material in Roman Town. We recommend a 2nd grade reading level, but younger children enjoy Roman Town when an adult or older child plays with them.
Is Roman Town really educational? Yes, it really is. It's impossible to play Roman Town without learning something. Players learn about Roman history and the scientific process of Archaeology while practicing their reading comprehension and building their vocabulary. You'll even learn some Latin! If you are interested in using Roman Town in your classroom or homeschool curriculum, please consider the Teacher’s Edition or the Educator’s Manual.

What do I need to play Roman Town? All you need is a computer running Windows 7, Vista, XP, or 2000. A mouse is recommended for the digging portion. The MAC version of Roman Town is coming soon.
How was Roman Town conceived? Roman Town grew out of a classroom archaeology project. Suzi was dissatisfied with the options to bring archaeology into the classroom and decided to develop a product that made it fun and easy to teach archaeology.
What if I have trouble with Roman Town? Please contact us! We have a less than 1% defect rate, but we know problems are possible with any software. If you encounter any problem, please let us know and we will either help you solve it or send you a new game.
What’s the difference between the standard and Teacher’s editions? The Teacher’s Edition is a multi-use version of the standard game. The game is the same, but the Teacher’s Edition is licensed for use on multiple computers. The Teacher’s Edition also includes a copy of the Educator’s Manual for easy lesson planning.
What is the Educator’s Manual? The Educator’s Manual makes it a breeze to use Roman Town as a learning tool. Want to teach with Roman Town but have no background in Archaeology?
